Tony Davis took iconic photos of the 90s UK rave scene. the youth and style and smiling faces in his pictures make me feel so much, but it's this one in particular that grabs me. i badly yearn for something i didn't experience. i have fallen for this woman so many times and will continue to fall.

Tulsa Hardcover, 1971 - Larry Clark

sex, violence, dogged self-destruction. i arrived at these photos from Nan Goldin's 'Rise and Monty Kissing' and realized 'oh fuck this is what i'm after'  the vulgarity of her color is gone, replaced with a washed-out rawness that's in such high concentration i almost feel sick to my stomach - like i rubbed my eyes but something bad was on my fingers.

One Across the Lips, 1983 - Morizen Fouche

Jay Alabamy slashing frontside, arms rippling with muscle. i almost paid $200 for this print when i first moved into my house. i wanted it to be something like a bridge between my recent freedom and my new stability. beer foam spraying, head exposed fully to the concrete, but also printed and framed and hanging just right. since then, the MoFo website has expired and you probably can't get it anywhere else.
